No One Was Coming

📍 Balgownie jobsite
I thought I was building a business.
But what I was really doing… was holding it all together.
For everyone.
Even when I had nothing left.
There was no safety net.
No fallback plan.
No one who understood how much I was carrying.
I paid wages from my own pocket.
I tiled while injured.
I smiled through days that broke me.
Jordan didn’t follow instructions—so I had to let him go.
Blair walked when the pressure got too much.
And all I had left was Jamie.
Young, green… but hungry to learn.
So I taught him everything I could.
Not just how to tile—but how to carry yourself when it’s hard.
How to show up when no one claps for you.
How to care—when it’s easier not to.
That was the moment I realized:
No one was coming to save me.And no one was coming to finish this vision… but me.
It wasn’t a moment of despair.
It was the moment I became a leader.
Not because I wanted to be one.
But because the job demanded someone to hold the line.
And I answered.
That’s why I built Grace.
That’s why I’m building these tapes.
To remind the next young leader:
You’re not soft for feeling.
You’re strong for continuing.
Even if no one sees it yet.
Even if no one thanks you.
Your sacrifice still counts.
You are not invisible.
You are the foundation.
